Wow! What a band! The performance of this band at Blackpool in November 2022 was simply sensational and rounded off a brilliant weekend of live music at Blackpool.

A very in demand party band that is absolutely full of energy and highly entertaining, great to watch or dance to. They simply have it all.

Keith leads the band and is joined by Alan, Simon, Richard & Tony. This 5 piece band is sure to be a crowd pleaser in Blackpool in 2024.

With 5 albums to there name as well as a Vinyl LP.

Rockin' The Joint

Rockin' the Joint are a 3 piece comprising members who have come together from other long standing premier rock and roll and jive bands.

Between them they bring a wealth of talent and experience playing in the UK and overseas. Band leader, founder member and lead vocalist Mike possesses a fine voice and ability on the guitar.  Drummer Jason also takes on some lead vocals, being an avid Elvis fan, and provides harmony vocals on many numbers. Newest member Gary on slap bass and harmony vocals, is also a great guitarist and songwriter. 

The group plays material from the 50's and 60's covering all the great artists from Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran to Elvis, plus some self penned tunes composed in the 50's style. The repertoire includes jive, strollers, ballads and doowop, plus a sprinkling of rockabilly. The set is designed to fill a dance floor! 

The Mee Kats

The Mee Kats started life in 2010 in NE England to perform 1950's rock n roll and rockabilly music. This rockin'
trio was developed by lead singer Colin Mee, who is a veteran of the UK rockin' scene, having played drums in well known rockabilly band the Sure Shots from 1984-1993. Colin is also lead singer of rockabilly trio The Skip Rats since 1987.

The other band members are Rob Brindley on lead guitar who hails from sunny Stoke who started his rockin' career with his band Ignition. Mandy Mee who plays double bass, started out playing with several bands before teaming up with husband Colin and forming hillbilly trio Root'n Toot'n alongside The Mee Kats.

To date The Mee Kats have five releases in the form of a 2 sided 7" vinyl 45rpm single, a 7 track CD "Everybody's Rockin....." a 14 track CD "All Dressed Up" and a 16 track CD "Let's Go Boppin". The 7" 45rpm features 2 tracks written by singer Colin Mee. "Rag Top Baby/Call My Name". The latest recording being a 14 track CD "Rocket Trip" released in October 2021.

The Kingcats

THEY ARE BACK IN BLACKPOOL IN 2024

This outstanding band is making a very rare appearance in Blackpool in 202 and this is one gig you do not want to miss!

This Five Piece band loves the music they play, and this is highly demonstrated when they are on the stage. The Kingcats know well how to keep a dance floor filled, in fact the only complaint might be from the dancers wanting a break.

There sound takes you back to the Sun Studio era, the Kingcats are not just a 50’s cover band, from from it. Their delivery of Elvis, Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent classic to name but a few, as well as tracks of the lesser known artists of the time will have you thinking you are in Memphis 55’ but what sets The Kingcats apart is that when they strike up there self-penned numbers you will not be able to tell the difference.

No wonder this band is known as one of the hottest rock & roll bands around.
