The Jive Aces

Renowned worldwide for their high-energy spectacular showmanship, their viral video Bring Me Sunshine and for being the first live band to reach the final rounds of Britain's Got Talent, The Jive Aces have firmly established themselves the UK's No.1 Jive & Swing band.

The in-demand sextet average 300 shows a year and have worked with Van Morrison, Keely Smith and performed for Her Majesty the Queen. They headlined and sold-out the Royal Albert Hall and thousands of festivals, theatres, dance halls, etc, in 35 countries, including Buckingham Palace for the Coronation Festival, Trafalgar Square for the Olympics and major theatre tours in the USA.

The new albums "Diggin' The Roots Vol.1 Rockin' Rhythm & Blues" and "Vol.2: Hot Jazz" are a journey into the two branches of music that makes up the Jive Aces signature sound, proving that vintage music is very much timelessly classic.

Their performance at the 2015 Glastonbury Festival was listed by the Daily Telegraph as one of the festival's highlights.

The Jive Aces wowed the judges on Britain's Got Talent with their show-stopping version of I Wanna Be Like You, which famously cheered up a grumpy Simon Cowell. Their BGT appearances have been seen by over 20 million. Their most popular music video, Bring Me Sunshine, is a viral hit with well over 3 million views on Youtube and has won seven film festival awards. It is so uplifting that it has actually been prescribed by a doctor!

The Firebirds

A True 4 piece Rock & Roll band recognised as one of the finest Rock & Roll Bands in Europe. The Firebirds; Jim Plummer, Dan Plummer, Rich Lorriman and Paul Willmott are four first class musicians/vocalists able to cover the complete spectrum of music from the 1950s and 1960s, including rockabilly, doo wop, instrumentals and ballads.

Over the years, the band have a built a reputation in the country as the go to act when it comes to 50’s rock ‘n’ roll. This has led to the band being invited to perform alongside Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lonnie Donegan as well as the Holliday Sisters (Elvis’ original backing singers) to name but a few.

As well as being incredibly popular in the UK, they continue to enjoy success on the European rock ‘n’ roll scene and are regularly invited to perform at Europe’s top rock ‘n’ roll festivals as well as headlining sell-out tours.

To date, the band have released three singles and twelve albums. The last five, recorded in their own studio and on their own label ‘Rockville Records’, include a Rock’n’Roll Special with Linda Gail Lewis the sister of ‘The Killer’ Jerry Lee, and two Doo Wop albums – the second featuring guest vocalist Den Hegarty of ‘Darts’ fame.

With the global commercial success of their back catalogue on music streaming services such as Spotify and iTunes, the band have embarked sell-out theatre tours across the USA as well as performing at music festivals across the country.

In addition, they have performed on tours of South America to packed out dance halls.

Their self-penned single ‘59 Ford has reached over 5 millions hits on Spotify and is recognised as a staple in any rockabilly collection.

Rockin' The Joint

Rockin' the Joint are a 3 piece comprising members who have come together from other long standing premier rock and roll and jive bands.

Between them they bring a wealth of talent and experience playing in the UK and overseas. Band leader, founder member and lead vocalist Mike possesses a fine voice and ability on the guitar.  Drummer Jason also takes on some lead vocals, being an avid Elvis fan, and provides harmony vocals on many numbers. Newest member Gary on slap bass and harmony vocals, is also a great guitarist and songwriter. 

The group plays material from the 50's and 60's covering all the great artists from Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran to Elvis, plus some self penned tunes composed in the 50's style. The repertoire includes jive, strollers, ballads and doowop, plus a sprinkling of rockabilly. The set is designed to fill a dance floor! 

Thee Un-Named

Thee Un-Named are making there debut at Venture Away Music Weekends at Sandford in 2024 - highly recommended by our Good Friend Glenn Darren - who are we to argue with Glenn's opinion on great up and coming bands??
