We are delighted to welcome back this fabulous band to Blackpool in 2025 - always in demand and a great way to round off the Saturday night at Blackpool on the Venture Away Music Weekends Rock & Roll Weekender.

This band is sure to pack out the dance floor and are certainly a crowd pleaser too so we are delighted they are returning to Blackpool in 2025.

From the tender age of 5 Bo Walton was listening to the sounds of Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran and Billy Fury and they all influenced him greatly. Having written songs with Mark Knopfler, Nik Kershaw and Chris Difford, he has recorded several albums with his band Red Alert and together they are regulars on the rock n roll club circuit.

No wonder this band is known as one of the hottest rock & roll bands around on the circuit.

Class of 58

GREAT TO HAVE THIS FABULOUS BAND BACK WITH US IN 2025 @ BLACKPOOL

The Class of 58 are recognised as one of Europe's Premier and Best Loved 50's Rock & Roll and Doo Wop bands and consists of Howie (Dad) on Guitar/Vocals, Chris (Mam) on Double Bass/Vocals, and their sons Johnny, on Drums/Vocals and Davie on Piano/vocals.

The band, this year, are celebrating 20 years of playing together - and still going strong! The Class of '58 are probably the most versatile, hard-working and most unique band playing '50's Rock 'n' Roll music today.
 
Versatile - because their set consists of the whole spectrum of '50's music - Doowop, Jive, Rhythm & Blues, Boogie Woogie, Rockabily, Classics and more!
 
Hardworking - because their Gig List is a testament to their desire to put their music out there, which is reflected by how busy they are!
         
Unique - because the band is made up from all the members of the complete family unit - Mam, Dad and 2 sons. Whereas it might not be too unusual to come across bands occasionally with siblings, a relative, or one parent in, an ENTIRE complete family is both rare and unique - especially playing '50's Rock 'n' Roll!
 
Many years ago, a well respected veteran of the music industry christened them "The First Family of Rock 'n' Roll", which is a badge that they're proud to wear to this day.
 
They were the first entire family to play together in this genre of music and they paved the way for others to follow. Thus making it more acceptable for promoters to give other youngsters a chance to play - After all the lifeblood of any music is youth!!!

Rockin' The Joint

Rockin' the Joint are a 3 piece comprising members who have come together from other long standing premier rock and roll and jive bands. This Dorset band is making the long journey back to Blackpool in 2025 and we are delighted that they are coming to play for us at The Savoy Hotel in Blackpool in 2025.

Between them they bring a wealth of talent and experience playing in the UK and overseas. Band leader, founder member and lead vocalist Mike possesses a fine voice and ability on the guitar.  Drummer Jason also takes on some lead vocals, being an avid Elvis fan, and provides harmony vocals on many numbers. Newest member Gary on slap bass and harmony vocals, is also a great guitarist and songwriter. 

The group plays material from the 50's and 60's covering all the great artists from Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran to Elvis, plus some self penned tunes composed in the 50's style. The repertoire includes jive, strollers, ballads and doowop, plus a sprinkling of rockabilly. The set is designed to fill a dance floor! 

Rockin' Pagan

Rockin’ Pagan is from Lincolnshire and performs Rock n Roll, Rockabilly and Doo Wop to high quality backing tracks. The brilliant Rockin' Pagan has been performing at rock ‘n’ roll clubs, weekenders and festivals for many years and we are delighted to welcome him to Blackpool for his first appearance with us in 2025.
